The Beautiful View

They climbed the mountain up so high
Like a stairwell leading to the sky

They marveled at the city view
The tiny cars and houses too

The world was quiet all around
It would take hours for them to be found

The played and danced along the edge
Teasing the rocky mountain ledge

Without warning the clouds rolled in
The devil was coming for their sins

Nowhere to run they sat there scared
Facing everything that they have feared

They reached for one another's hand
But it was too late for both to stand

Their eyes said what they both knew
Only one could stay of the two

A sacrifice would suffice this creature
But who would go the student or the teacher

Without a word the both jumped off
hand in hand their actions scoffed

There was no way that one could go
And leave the other alone with the crow

So with their love, brave and true
They jumped together, to the beautiful view.
