Wonderland

Just like Alice

Here I go

Falling endlessly

To where I don’t know.

 

Why did I follow

That silly white rabbit

Was I looking for something

Or was it a force of habit?

 

This has to be

The longest drop

I don’t care where

I just want it to stop.

 

The darkness moves slowly

In this unfamiliar place

I’m frightened by nothing

Just a vast lonely space.

 

My fears settle in

My heart is their home

I’m aching and hurting

At everything unknown

 

I just want to find

A place to belong

To share my life, and my love

With someone not wrong.

 

But here in this wonderland

There is nothing to find

Except maybe the knowledge

That control should be mine.
