We Were Honest

We were both single but knew our lives today and our dreams for tomorrow left no room for imaginary futures. The chemistry was irresistible. We knew we couldn't lose. A secret kept simply because it was delicate. To explain a choice of sharing time temporarily was unnecessary. I had never felt more free than in those hidden moments.
